The Burundian Coalition of Human Rights Defenders (CBDDH) demands transparency and justice for the abduction of Butoyi Arcade, provincial representative of the Syndicat des Travailleurs de l’Enseignement du Burundi (STEB) and OLUCOME in Cankuzo, on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of his disappearance on April 28, 2024. Arcade Butoyi was abducted with his friend by individuals dressed in police uniform, aboard a vehicle well known for its macabre uses on April 28, 2020, at the « Ku Kayaga » bar, while he was installing sound equipment in an event hall on behalf of the CNL party, which had awarded him a contract during the 2020 election campaign.
